Scooter and I decided to be spontaneous and take a trip to another one of our favorite spots nessled back in the woods.
It was a tad bit chilly but the fish were going crazy!!! All in all we caught about 12 ranging from bass, cats, perch, bluegill
and crappie. Scooter had a record keeper bass, a good 19 incher but the fish did something we never saw a fish do before. As
he was reeling his big buddie in the fish started rolling in circles like a dog does until he finally broke free about a foot
from the shoreline, it would have been a great keeper but oh well, we were still going to town. My first keeper was a nice
8" bluegill I caught on corn, worm and homemade fish attractant. I actually thought he was much larger than that after he
grabbed my hook and took off but I got him in, that all was within the first 15 min we were there. All my catches were either
bluegill 7'+ or catfish 6"+. Scooter had a nice variety ranging from catfish to perch to bass to bluegill.
It has always been said by other fishermen that fish get scared off by music and loud speaking, I say phooey
our buddies was rockin' out with us and 93.3 The Wolf, all they cared about was when their next meal was coming. The greatest
sense of relaxation for me is fishing and old school rock and oldies on the radio, you really have to try it sometime,(hint)
the fish at Newport love Aerosmith and Journey, I've caught more fish when those two groups were jammin than anything else.
Rock On Guys!!!!!!!
