Scooter and I love to fish and have been to quite a few lakes to try out our skills and wanted to share some information on the lakes so you may be able to share in your own fishing experiences.

Glacier Lake
 
Glacier Lake is located on Youngstown's South Side it was built in 1906. It is a 44 acre lake that offers fishing, boating, and cruises down the lake on a passanger boat. Each year in early spring Glacier Lake is stocked with approximately 2500 Trout for the sportsmen. Newport Lake
 
Newport Lake, a 60 acre lake established in 1928 is located also on Youngstown's South Side on West Newport Drive. It also offers boating and fishing and has a boat rental available.

Mosquito Lake
 
Mosquito Lake is located on State route 305 in Cortland, Ohio.It covers 1,780 acres of land. In the 1930's plans were drawn up to Dam up Mosquito Creek and was finished in 1944. You can view information on the lake at the following URL- http://www.stateparks.com/mosquito.html

Lake Hodgson

Lake Hodgson is a 180 acre lake that also serves as Ravenna's drinking water. It is stocked with various types of fish each season. No fishing license is required but a permit is necessary to fish here. A great place to get away from it all for a day. Boat launches and rentals are available. The lake is opened 6 days a week, it is closed on Tuesdays. for more information about fishing here please go to the following URL-

North Reservoir

411-acre Portage Lakes State Park offer visitors a variety of outdoor recreational experiences. Boating, swimming and fishing are popular on the several surrounding lakes.
 The wetlands of the park attract waterfowl and shorebirds providing visitors enjoyment whether hunting or observing wildlife.
The lakes here consist of  1681 acres of fishing waters and 37.84 miles of shoreline. There are 9 lakes and Reservoirs in all and is located next to the Ohio Erie Canal and theTuscawarus River.

Berlin Lake was established in 1943 by the Army Corp of Engineersit is approximately 3,321 acres and is one of the few lakes where the natural reproduction of muskie occurs. It's an excellent fishing spot also for walley.You can find more information on Berlin Lake at the following URL-

Guilford State Park's 396 acres sets on the west fork of the Little Beaver Creek.
