Today was a great day to be out on the lakes Scooter and I first hit Newport Lake to see if we could catch any more of
those rare bass but was unsuccessful with the rare breed but I was able to latch onto a 8" small mouth within the first 20
minutes on a nice fat worm and a bit of Baitmait or squirt as we call it. Scooter wasn't so successful though. I caught a
few more blue gill before giving it up and going back to our favorite spot back at Glacier Lake where the tables turned. Scooter
was dragging in the blue gill while I sat there jammin' to Mix 98.9. About an hour went by and a nice elder gentleman pulled
over and asked us if we would like some catfish and a striper bass he had caught out at Lake Milton earlier that day
so we took his orphaned fish and thanked him for his generosity. They were all of nice size, the flathead was at least 30",
the channel cat was about 28" and the striper was a good 24"... We had a great time trying to figure out how I would showcase
our orphaned friends and come up with a silly way of showing it which you will be able to see under "Wanted Dead Or Alive"
here on Kats Kreative Korner within the next day or two. A few hour passed and the blue gill were shrinking so we called it
a day and headed back home for a well deserved rest from such an active day.......
