It was a great day to be in the great outdoors, the sun was high in the sky and a warm breeze filled the air
and of course I was ready to hit the lake to try my hand out on some city fishing. Scooter was just as anxious to hit the
waters so we headed to our favorite spot at Glacier Lake. We were there about an hour when Scooter latched into his first
catch of the day, a nice 14" carp that gave him a good fight but as the story goes, Scooter prevailed in the end. About
45 minutes later he got lucky again and caught his first rainbow trout of the season, a 10" we named lil' Bo. He was a challenge
for Scooter but being he was hooked on those red worms from the back yard his luck went sour... I wasn't doing too well, I
was getting hits and had a nice sized fish who took my line under a log and freed himself. I was getting desperate and
pulled out the ole homemade fish attractant, and that seemed to work for me, I caught my first 6" blue gill, being a humanitarian,
I threw her back to have her babies. A few hours went by and Scooter got lucky again and reeled in a 5" blue gill. We were
in a catch and release mood but did keep the trout because once you catch them they die. We fished for about 2 more hours
before calling it a day. We gave Lil' Bo to a young fisherman down the way and headed home to a nice meal and relaxation.
