Today was a great day for fishing, it started out a little nippy but we both dressed
for the occasion wearing several layers of clothes. We packed up the truck and headed down to one of our fishing spots at
Guilford Lake. Within the first hour we racked up 4 catches. Perch were hitting like crazy and Scooter was able to latch onto
a nice 13" channel cat we named Carlito. The sun was starting to get a little warm about 1:30 so I started stripping down
hoping to cool down just a bit but it wasn't enough, between those dreaded hot flashes and the sun hitting straight on made
for a bit of a humid day but I didn't let it bother me and kept on fishing altogether bringing in a good dozen between perch
and bluegill. Scooter was having a grand ole time down by the cattail trying to catch another buddy for Carlito but two of
them got away breaking his line. Scooter brought in a good dozen himself. We fished for about 6 hours before giving it up.
The clouds were rolling in and by then I looked like a reversed raccoon, around my eyes were white but the rest of me was
fried, ooops, I forgot my sunscreen!!!!! It was a great day out on the lake, we got to spend some good quality time together
and we both got to do something we loved to do- GO FISHING!!!!!!!
