Today we took a chance and decided to go get our lines in the water regardless the weather forcasts and it worked out
great. Scooter and I loaded up the truck and headed down to our favorite spot at Lake Glacier. The sun was high and bright
and the fish were definitely biting. We got at our spot at 10:15, by 10:20am Scooter had his first catch of the day, a small
but mighty blue gill which he took a moment for a photo op with before letting him go. I got lucky about 10:45 and was able
to grab onto a nice 11" rainbow trout but I had to go over the bank and bring him in by net but he was a catch and one I was
happy to get. We had alot of hits but like last year, those darn city slicking fish found a way to get our bait and
get running. I took a short break to go get the pups at home to give them some R & R with us and of course they
had fun barking at everyone who passed. As the day got later we were joined by three gentlemen down the way with the same
ideas in mind. I thought I would be nice and offer them my trout being I only had one and I really didn't feel like cleaning
it so they took my fish graciously and thanked us and we all went about our business. I was getting a little bored so I decided
to rock it out with 93.3 The Wolf, it was a great first day at the lake. We both were hungry so we packed up about 3:30 and
headed home to a nice slow cooker of ham and beans.
