Another beautiful day, another fun day on the lake for Scooter and I. We started out over at Newport Lake but the water was a bit dirty, empty bottles floating around and an oily film covered a good portion of the lake so we decided to go back to our usual spot under the mighty oak at Glacier Lake. We had lots of hits including the acorns trying to take us out. We hit a school of blue gill so one by one we began reeling them in. Scooter's big catch of the day was a female mallard. She decided to swim over his line and got tangled so he had no choice as to reel her in and untangle her. An elderly gentleman was taking a stroll back behind us and said that he has seen many things caught in his years at Mill Creek Park but never a duck. We untangled her foot and let her go, she blew that area real quick. All in all we caught around 6 fish but none of any size. It was a great day to just be out in the great outdoors and share in some good quality time.
