Yesterday turned out to be a great day. We loaded the pups and our fishing gear and headed up to Mosquito Lake. The fish were hitting hard and steady, we would no sooner throw our line out and they would hit. Scooter caught several sunfish,a bluegill 8" named  Mr. Wiggles, a 13" large mouth bass he named Barney, an 8" perch he named Perry and his biggest one yet, an orphaned 18" channey cat named Frisky. Frisky was quite a challange to get strung, he and his buddy a 23" channel cat named Figity came to us from a group of fishermen who didn't care to keep them so Scooter and I adopted them to our collection. I was able to land a few bluegill myself but they were not happy to be caught. I kept Razor,my 9" bluegill. I named him that cause he sliced my thumb up with his top fin as I was attempting to put him into the bucket with all the other fish. We fished for about 6 hrs before calling it a day and taking the pups to the Dog Park for a little R & R of their own. Cleaning those bad boys was a challange, the catfish had to be taken out by a hacksaw and what would you know they were still wiggling around, talk about diehard fish. That was a perfect ending to another great day on the lake.
