Today we decided to try our hand out at yet another lake. We went to Lake Milton this time but the fishing was boring. We
sat there for several hours and only caught a few blue gill so once again we found ourselves back at Berlin where we were
able to get our favorite fishing spot for the season. The fish were slick this time they are what I refer to as "Swappers"
which is they steal your bait and replace it with either a leaf or tree limb to make you think you have something on your
line. I am so glad we don't have to buy our worms on most occasions. We started up a worm bed out of old leaves from the fall,
some nice rich black dirt and coffee grounds. Our dogs like to contribute also and pee in the worm bed so we get what we call
-iss worms but I'll tell you what they are fat wiggly and sure do catch the fish but when you hook them don't hold them too
close or you will get sprayed, I learned my lesson on that one when I hooked a nice fat wiggly one, it sprayed me in the face,
yuck, that was just too gross. We were catching blue gill one after another and perch. We brought a nice stringer home of
fish that day along with a decent size bass that we shared with the neighbors. Our one neighbor did an all night trip to Mosquito
but didn't catch anything so he was greatful to get some fresh fish. I gave him my recipe for "Bite Me" told him
of some of our favorite spots and what we use to catch our mother loads. Fishing is such a relaxing hobby and a great way
of spending quality time with my favorite fishing buddy and best friend, love of my life and spouse.
