We have really been rockin' it this year at the lakes between Glacier, Newport and Berlin. Today we headed back to Berlin to that neat little spot we found nestled back in the woods. We were greeted by a family of mallards which befriended us and I had a blast playing with them. They saw me eating crackers so they decided they wanted a snack too, we had a cracker party on the beach but my one little buddy decided to cross over my fishing line and got tangled, we were able to get the hook out of his feathers and they moved to another location not far from where we were. A nice family showed up with mom, dad and sons. We gave them some fishing tips on our success and shared a bit of "Bite Me" with them. Lamarr latched onto a few nice fish but one broke his line. The second one we brought in together with a net, it was a carp and measured out at 16". We don't do carp so we took our picture for fish tales and let it go. That was a most eventful day and now every time we go back to Berlin I look for my buddies but they haven't been around lately. I got a few nice pictures with them, I hope we see them again soon!!!
