Today we decided to try our hand at yet another spot down by the dams. We started out up at Lake Glacier when a man came by and asked us if we wanted some fish, I love catfish so we didn't hesitate to take them off his hands. The waters were rough but boy did we have a blast. there were lots of big guys to catch. Lamarr hooked into some kind of big fish with some big teeth. I have never seen anything like him before so we pulled out our handy fish book to find he latched onto a muskie, I thought for sure it would make state Fish Ohio award but he missed it by a mere 6", it measured out at 34". he also caught a nice 8" small mouth bass, too sweet. We had to go show off our prizes to dad and a few of his neighbors. Dad was amazed, he had never seen such a large fish.. We came home and cleaned the muskie and two cats along with the bass which we shared with our neighbor. I fileted them up and cooked some on the grill and some we deep fried. We also shared a nice chunk of the muskie with our other neighbor. I really didn't care for the muskie, no taste, guess he needed marinated but the catfish was really good on the grill with a bit of butter and garlic. Whew, we were exhausted after such an eventful day and both slept like babies...
