Things have been quite interesting at the lakes. Today we hit Lake Newport. The storms really made a mess of our favorite fishing spot but we came prepared with our clippers, a rake and a saw. We got a nice little area cleaned out and now it was time to have some fun. The fish sure were hungry and my bate attractant "Bite Me" made it even better. We were bringing in the fish left and right. My best catch of the day was a nice 15" large mouth bass. He was a great fight and I actually was able to get this one in. What would you know, I forgot to change batteries in my camera so pictures were out of the question for that particular day. Lamarr pulled in mostly blue gill but did have a nice couple of 8 1/2" perch. We normally just do catch and release so we didn't keep anything that day. We had lots of laughs and jammed to the music on the radio. Who says you have to be quiet when fishing, I do better when I serenade the fish!!!
