Today was one of those spontaneous days for us, we busted butt landscaping the yard for two days so we decided to take
some well deserved down time and do some fishing. It started out at Glacier Lake but the sun was hot and nothing was biting
so we went to our favorite spot at Lake Newport and we were both so very glad we did. Scooter once again was hogging all the
fish but I did have some nice sized ones. He was able to bring in a nice 16" channel cat, too bad the lakes had nasty water
last year or I would have kept that one for the grill. I had a nice 9" blue gill and a 13" small mouth bass. Guess the
extra chicken grease helped out in "Bite Me". Scooter had to have reeled in a good dozen and a half with his new reel I got
him for his birthday. We had a great time, it was peaceful, it was serene and it was a day well deserved.
