It was a great day to head out to the lake, there was a nice breeze and the water was clear. Scooter did well today by
bringing in half the lake while I had a few nice catches myself but only after opening my lunch to eat. As I always say, "If
you open it they will come" We fished for about 6 hrs. Scooter caught about 18 blue gill, a few perch some smaller bass, babies
to say the least and his big catch of the day a nice 13" channel cat. Everytime we go out "Bite Me" brings in a ship load
of fish. Guess they are into gourmet!! We were running out of worms so we decided to try some ham and turkey off my sandwich
along with a piece red worm that was left in our worm box and a piece of whole kernal corn all marinated in "Bite
Me" and I figure that is what brought the catfish in. We laughed, we talked, we seranaded the fish and just had a great
time... Whew, I truly had fish in my bones which means my body ached from all the casting and fighting with the fish but hey
as I always say "Pain Purifies, it hardens the heart and strengthens the soul" Amen to that, keep coming fish!!!!
