Today was a spontaneous day, the sun was shining and we were bored so we decided to head out for a few hours for some R & R on the lake. It didn't start out too great though, we tried to buy worms and everywhere we went was sold out so we ended up digging for them, they were small but I also cut up some cooked shrimp to add to them an it worked out swell and well. Scooter seemed to be the only one catching fish for the first 4 hours, altogether he caught 9 with his biggest being a nice 14" catfish. we both caught some really nice 10" bluegill and Scooter latched onto some crappie.  Officially I had 2 confirmed catches and 3 bring them to the bank but they got off fish, guess it's time to get some new jig heads with sharper hooks. I was still having a good time, I had my 3 favorite things, my huney, my music and the lake what a wonderfully relaxing day it was. We fished for about 6 hours before giving it up, it was hot and we were both getting hungry and we both had fish in our bones, that means our arthritis was kicking in from sitting there for so many hours and from throwing our lines out and reeling them in. Yup Artie was taking me from joint to joint and it was about time for a nice cool down so that's where we ended for the day.
