I often wish it all would end
And folks would see the "Real Me"
And quit making things look as if
They so want them to be
I may not be famous
Or have a million or two
But the one thing that I have within me
Is love and Faith that is true
I may not always go to church
Or fall down upon bended knees
But God has blessed me with some gifts
That allows me to be me
He gave me the strength to carry on
Even when times were hard
He gave me my pride and dignity
To go that extra yard
He taught me how to love
And the meaning of forgiveness too
The meaning of true kindness
And how to say God Bless you
So the next time you choose to make things look
How you so want them to be
Just stop and remember my words
And meet the Real Me....
