Why can't I seem to find the words
I hold within my heart
That helps me carry on in life
Even when we are apart

When times get low and I need you there
When I need you by my side
Sometimes I just can't find the words
They're locked down deep inside

I ask you for your patients
To be there just for me
For the times I need to open up
For the times I often grieve

I ask for your strength to hold me tight
As we shut down the lights
To help me make it through the night

At times I may just need a friend
That friend I've found in you
