As I began dozing back off to sleep, I could hear the sounds of the wolves howling from a distance. I didn't let the
sounds frighten me anymore and drifted peacefully off to sleep. 3:15 am rolled around, I was awaken once again, not by the
sounds that pierced the night but by the visions that came to my dreams. I was told the dreamcatcher would only let good dreams
come through but for some reason it did not block the bad ones that raced through my mind. Was it just me or was it mind over
matter that possessed my very thought. I cried out into the night while a cold sweat rolled down my brow. What is this all
about, why does he not let me go and what truly is this strange object that hang by my bedside, is it a dreamcatcher or is
it something more.
Being I couldn't seem to sleep, I got up and researched old ancient Indian traditions. I looked up the purpose of dreamcatchers
and found some other interesting facts. Legend has it that the Indians would hang these objects in their tipis and on their
baby's cradle board to keep away evil thoughts in the night. I picked up my dreamcatcher only to learn that some of the threads
that trap the bad dreams had been broken, guess that is why those thoughts raced through my mind.
