I decided to look up just what the words over the door ways meant. They said, "AD 20+C+M+B+00"
which stands for "Amno Domini 1955 -- Caspar, Melchior, Balthasar" and means "the three Holy Kings, Caspar, Melchior, Balthasar,
in the year of Our Lord, 2000" It is a blessing to keep out the evil spirits that may lurk within. It is written
in chalk just above the doorways and the doorways are blessed with Holy Oil or olive oil can be used as an anointing oil.
I never knew just what the words were for so one day while cleaning our home I wiped away the chalk
marks. Could this be the reason why the spirits entered our home, I guess I will never know.
