My body began to tremble but I had to know just what lurked
behind the big french doors of the house. It was an odd type of day, the sun was partially covered by the clouds that floated
across the warm summer's sky but the air was heavy and a dense fog filled the air the closer I got to the house. As I approached
the front porch a voice bellowed out, " go away, death comes to all that disturb 109". I looked around but could not see anyone
so I continued towards the front doors. The voice cried out again " go away, death comes to all that disturb 109".
The chills that once raced through my body came back once more, who's there I cried out, show yourself. An old crippled man
came out of nowhere then quickly disappeared. Who are you I asked again, the voice was distant but I could hear him say "go
away before you die too". I looked around the outside of the house, a foul odor lingered through the air, the smell so strong
my eyes began to water and my nose began to burn. My stomach churned with each breath taken but that did not matter, I covered
my mouth and nose with a kerchief I carried with me. I had to know why Landsdowne 109 has been haunting my dreams for
so long now.
I ignored the warnings heeded and continued on, the windows of the house was covered by a
heavy dust and dirt so I wiped a small spot clean to be able to look into the house. I really could not see too much but what I
was able to make out was a small room with an old pianoforte that sat in the corner with a bench that sat directly in front
of it. A few chairs were staggered about the room and a stone fireplace sat centered on the northwest wall of the room.
