The next day while out on a fishing trip her father caught something on his fishing line that was out of the usual fish
he was use to catching. He reeled and reeled but what he caught kept pulling back on his line, fighting to get off. He finally
wore out whatever it was and continued to reel in his line. To his surprise he caught a turtle,he wasn't familiar with the
different types of turtles but all he knew was it was colorful just like Kaitie wanted. On his way home he took it to the
nearest wildlife sanctuary to find out just what type of turtle he had. The lady working at the desk took one look at it and
told him he caught a red eared slider. It was a female about 10" long from head to tail. He asked her if he could keep the
turtle being it was caught at the lake and she told him he could and gave him directions on how to set up a reptile tank for
Kaitie's new pet.
